Congratulations to the Nu Tau chapter for their excellent performance at the LAE regional conference in Metairie, Louisiana! The competition was was held October 22-25, 2009.
Steve Womack, the current Nu Tau President earned 1st on the Corrections exam, 1st for the Upper Firearms competition, 1st for the Pro Team Firearms competition, and was named overall Top Gun.
Scott Brandt, the current Nu Tau Sergeant-at-Arms, earned 3rd on the Criminal Law exam, 2nd on the Corrections exam, 2nd on the Police Management exam, 1st for the Pro Team Firearms competition, and was named Overall Academic.
Sergeant Mike Lane earned 1st for the Pro Firearms competition and 1st for the Pro Team Firearms competition.
James Vieau earned 1st of the Police Management exam.
Wes Thomas earned 3rd on the Corrections exam.
_______________________For new and returning members, don't forget about your dues! New members must submit national dues ($36.00 - check or money order made to ACJA-LAE) and chapter dues ($10.00 - cash, check or money order made to LAE-Nu Tau) with their initial application to join the organization. Returning members will receive a renewal notice from the national organization about their annual dues. Returning members should also pay chapter dues ($10.00) each academic year.
We still have t-shirts for sale. T-shirts are $15.00 a piece and can be purchased from Prof. Stewart (please make an appointment before coming by so Prof. Stewart is sure to be there (Chilton Hall Suite 265; please bring correct change or a check/money order made payable to LAE - Nu Tau).
