- Tutoring and Academic Support
- These resources are designed to help students succeed academically by offering tutoring and study skills training.
- Program for Academic Readiness: THEA Exam information, study assistance, and other THEA related questions.
- Discovery: Provides tutoring, study-skills assessments, workshops, and personal and academic counseling to qualified individuals.
- The Learning Center: Academic Assistance, Speed Reading & Study Skills Classes, Volunteer Tutors, Supplemental Instruction, Study Assistance for Entrance Exams and Standardized Tests.

Career Services
Career Planning and Student Employment These resources are designed to assist you in getting a job while in school or planning for your career after graduation.
- UNT Career Center: Serves as the primary office for student employment and post-graduate career planning.
- Counseling & Testing: Personal and career counseling free to currently enrolled students on an individual and group basis. The Testing Center administers national standardized exams.
- Cooperative Education and Internships: Co-op and internship opportunities while students are in school. Students receive assistance with resumes, job-search strategies, and interviewing skills.
Student Support Services
- Division of Equity and Diversity: An office dedicated to the development of a supportive environment for a culturally diverse faculty, staff and student body and includes the investigation of allegations regarding discrimination and sexual harassment.
- Office of Disability Accommodations: Serves as a coordinator of student support services for students with disabilities.
- Multi-cultural Center: Formerly the Student Ethnic Enrichment Center, the center creates a welcoming environment that fosters communication and honors all individuals. One goal is to distribute information on opportunities for targeted groups including scholarships, employment, internships, campus events, etc.
- Student Attorney/Legal Advisor: The purpose of this office is to provide specified legal services to currently enrolled University of North Texas students. The focus is on legal advising, counseling and education. The office seeks to deliver legal information to students who would not otherwise have it.
- UNT Ally Program: An organization composed of volunteers who support the university’s commitment to respect all people regardless of age, color, disability, gender, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, and veteran status.
Financial Aid and Scholarships
The College of Public Affairs and Community Service (PACS) encourages its students to apply for scholarships both within the University and with outside organizations. Below are a series of resources for students seeking information on financial aid and scholarships.

- UNT Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid: The Office of Financial Aid provides information on Financial Aid Status, Financial Aid transcripts, application and information.
- UNT Office for Nationally Competitive Scholarships: The Office for Nationally Competitive Scholarships assists undergraduate and graduate students in identifying and pursuing externally funded research and study opportunities
- PACS Scholarships: The PACS scholarships page includes information on all PACS scholarships, including those in specific majors.

Every UNT student has an Eaglemail Account. It is the primary way UNT and the College of Public Affairs and Community Service communicate with students.
Graduation Information:
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! We hope that your undergraduate experience in the College of Public Affairs and Community Service (PACS) will serve you well. The following information is provided to assist you with your application for graduation. Please contact the Advising Office if you have any further questions Graduation applications must be turned in to the College of Public Affairs and Community Service Office of Student Services in Chilton Hall Suite 289 by the deadlines indicated by the UNT Graduation Office.
Applying for Graduation:
- Meet with an Academic Advisor to complete a graduation check the semester prior to your graduating semester. An advisor can confirm your remaining courses and grades needed in those courses to meet graduation requirements.
- Pick up a graduation packet in Chilton 289, complete it, and turn it in to the Office of Student Services by the stated deadline of that semester per the UNT Graduation Office.
- You will receive a confirmation letter from the Graduation office when your packet has been processed.
- Caps, gowns, and invitations are available through the UNT Bookstore.

- PACS Facebook Group - This online community provides you with a forum to stay connected with other PACS students, faculty and staff. You can ask questions of current students and staff and find out about social events and activities sponsored by departments and student organizations.
