Students who have taken courses at a community college or another Texas university may determine equivalency to UNT core courses by visiting the Transfer Articulation website at http://essc.unt.edu/registrar/articulation/.
Students who have completed an associate's degree have often already completed some core courses. However, because 42 advanced level hours (from courses with a 3000 or 4000 prefix) are required for a BAAS degree, it is advisable to take some core courses at UNT at the advanced level rather than at a community college. This will help maximize the number of workforce credits (typically lower level courses) that may be transferred to UNT.
